Unlike other cashmere companies Stellina Baby specialise in producing two ranges
‘Toffee
and Candy’ made with a 100% cashmere outer that is woven to have a soft cotton inner,
ideal for babies and children with sensitive skin or suffer from allergies such as
Eczema.
The items in this range will provide the warmth they need with the added protection of
Cotton. The second collection is the ‘Lollipop and Marshmallow’ which comprises items
made of 100% pure cashmere only. As a product developer for many fashion houses,
Stella Antoine, 33 was always surprised
at the great importance placed on children’s cashmere clothing and fascinated by the
constant need for new designs, fresh ideas and luxurious quality. But it was the
birth of
her 1st child and a baby boom amongst her friends that inspired Stella to create a
luxury
baby clothes collection. When her son was born she received many cashmere gifts from
her friends and family in Italy but when her son began to grow out of these wonderful
clothes Stella found it very difficult to find other baby cashmere products here in
the UK of
equivalent quality and look. Surprised by the lack of stylish designs available,
Stella took this opportunity to begin her research in to producing luxurious
cashmere for babies
especially babies with sensitive skin and began talking to her old contacts in
factories all
over the world. After many years of researching, designing and sampling

The Stellina Baby collection does not only include the traditional pink & blue but
also fun,
bright & vivid colours which are difficult to find anywhere else. All the garments
in this
seasons collection are named after and inspired by traditional Italian sweets. One of
Stella’s favourite shops in the little Southern Italian town of Caserta, where she
grew up -
was an old fashioned little sweet shop full of wonders. Jars of all colours and shapes
contained the most unusual sweets (Violetta was her favourite, a Parma Violet Sugar
sweet with the most delicious flowery flavour, in the softest shade of lilac), this
was the
inspiration for their Violetta cardigan.
